Junction 12 turns 10!
On Saturday 2nd September, Junction 12 celebrated it's 10th Birthday with friends, family, supporters, colleagues and other invited guests.
We began our celebrations with a time of reflection and thanksgiving as Libby reminded us of the project's humble beginnings. However, as Libby reminded us, Junction 12 is not about herself and her vision, but about God's and the young people of the east end. Due to this, we heard from some of the young, past and present, via video, live interviews and a specially written rap for the occasion. Another key part of our celebration was when Ronnie Craig, previous minister at Shettleston, reminded us of God's faithfullness through the ages and introduce some songs that the current young people of J12 had chosen.
After our 'service', we ate a meal together before having a ceilidh.
It was a fantastic day enjoyed by all as we not only reflected, but also looked ahead. Here's to another 10 years!
